The NEC Gala Concert has its own unique way of finding its performers. Music fans choose one's favorite performers and repertoire online, and top 6 artists get the privilege to perform in the Gala Concert.
Ryoko garnered a high number of votes, and will perform Ysaÿe's Poeme Elegiaque and Waxman's Carmen Fantasy.

Violinist Ryoko Yano was chosen to be one of the ten entrants for "Your Choice! NEC Gala Concert" sponsored by NEC Corporation.

This unique concert is based on an internet-based voting system by music fans.
The concept of the concert is to promote and introduce promising Japanese artists over the internet. 160 artists chosen from the NEC website "NEC Navigates Japan's Classical Musical Artists"was narrowed down to 10, and 6 artists who garner the highest number of votes receive an opportunity to enter the Gala Concert held next March.

Ms. Yano's entry repertoire is as follows:
Waxman: Carmen Fantasy
Ysaÿe: Solo Sonata No.6
Ysaÿe: Poeme Elegiaque
Bartok: Rhapsodie No.2
Ravel: Tzigane
Ms. Yano's message is posted within the website.

The deadline of the vote is January 15, 2008, and the final announcement of the 6 artists will be posted at January 21.
