Pianist Huseyin Sermet was born in Istanbul in 1955, and entered the Academy of Ankara in Turkey at age 10. Mr. Sermet is the winner of many international contests and has performed in major European cities and in the United States. Parallel to his solo career, he continues to compose, recently creating “Dreams and Nightmare” in 2001, with a commission from the Symphony Orchestra of Tokyo.
