Sekimoto started playing the piano at the age of 5.
2004-graduated Toho Gakuen School of Music
2005- graduated Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris (Rohm Music Foundation
Scholar)
2006- entered Toho Gakuen School of Music, Soloist Diploma Course
He received prizes in the PTNA Piano Competition starting from the
gold prize in B grade(1995), G grade (2000), Grand-prix in Concerto
grade (2001), Grand-prix of Grade Superior and the 1st Yasuko Fukuda
prize (2003).
2000- 1st Chopin International Piano Competition in ASIA, junior high
school division, gold prize
2003- 5th Hamamatsu International Piano Competition, 4th prize
2004- 8th Matsukata Hall Music Award
2005- 2nd International Chopin Piano Competition Delegate Competition,

Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Orchestra, Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra.
and many others. He has given numerous recitals in New York, Paris,
Tokyo, Hyogo, Osaka, Kyoto, and throughout the world.
He has studied with Chikako Inagaki and Mikhail Voskresensky. Sekimoto
has been Yuko Ninomiya's pupil since he was fourteen years old.
