Winfried Bonig was
born in Bamberg in 1959 and has studied organ, conducting
and church music with Franz Lehrndorfer, among others,
at the Munich College of Music.
Exams "with distinction", master class diploma.
In 1993, Mr. Bonig earned a doctorate degree in musicology
(University of Augsburg)
Intensive work with the performance practice of baroque
music and romantic and contemporary French organ music.
Lecturer at various Universities as well as music
courses and seminars both at home and abroad.
1984-1998 he was the organist at the catholic St.Josef
church in Memmingen, Bavaria.
Since 1998 he is the organprofessor at the "Hochschule
fur Musik" in Cologne.
International concert appearances as organist, harpsichordist
and conductor.
Organ recitals a.o. in USA, Canada, Japan, Hong Kong,
Israel and most European countries.
Since 2001 Mr. Bonig is the Titulair Organist of the
Cathedral of Cologne.
In 1994, he made his integral performance of Johann
Sebastian BachLs works for organ in a series of 15
concerts.
Numerous recordings and radio broadcasts.
