CAREER HISTORY:
Anastasia Chebotareva was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She started the
violin at the age of five. Three years later, her exceptional talent
was discovered by the famous professor Irina Bochkova, who was a student
and follower of the legendary Yuri Yankelevich.
EDUCATION: Anastasia finished the Moscow Central Music School (eleven
classes) at the Moscow Conservatory named after P. I .Tchaikovsky
(1996), and graduated from the postgraduate courses at the same institution
(1999), consistently following the traditional Russian Method.
The creative formation of the young musician was greatly influenced
by meetings with outstanding musicians: Yehudi Menuhin, Isaac Stern,
Mstislav Rostropovich (lessons and master classes), who distinguished
Anastasia's unusual aptitude, made rapturous comments on her performances
and forecast her brilliant musical future. The results of the efforts
applied by the pedagogues were not awaited for long: Chebotareva was
sixteen when she had her international debut with tours in Italy,
UK, France and Germany. Anastasia became a soloist of the Moscow State
Philharmonic when she was a second-year student of the Moscow Conservatory.
In addition to her touring activities, Anastasia Chebotareva also
performs in charity concerts and conducts master classes in different
countries; she is a member of international competition juries as
well as a soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic. She was
named a Merited Artist of Russia in 2004.
Anastasia has taught the Russian Method at the Moscow Conservatory
since 1999, and she was a visiting professor at the Kurashiki Sakuyo
University in Japan from 2000 until 2007. Chebotareva takes a unique
style of performing between Russia and Japan, as well as throughout
the world.
REPERTOIRE: The wide-ranging repertoire of Anastasia Chebotareva includes
about 40 concertos for violin with orchestra, numerous solo programs,
works created in diverse epochs and styles.
MAJOR ARTISTIC WORKS:
TOURS: Anastasia Chebotareva carries on a dynamic concert activity,
makes tours in different continents and countries. The violin player's
performances were of tremendous success in prestigious concert halls
of the world: the Royal Albert Hall (London), Beethoven Hall (Berlin),
Wiener Konzerthaus and Bruchnerhaus (Austria), Suntory Hall (Tokyo),
Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space Hall,
Osaka Symphony Hall (Osaka), Megaro Hall (Athens), Seoul Art Center
Hall (Seoul), Melbourne Blackwood Hall (Melbourne), G.Verdi Hall (Milan),
the Great Halls of the Moscow Conservatory and St. Petersburg Philharmonic,
the St. George Hall of the Kremlin Palace, and many others.
Anastasia made recordings on TV and radio in Russia, UK, France, Germany,
Italy, Australia, Spain, Japan, South-African Republic, Austria, USA
and other countries.
She took part in the music for several dramas and shows such as Fuji
Television's "Sonagi" (2002), and the main theme of NHK's
daily drama "Hiiro no Kioku (Hero's Memories)" in 2003.
In the Fuji Television's 45th anniversary drama "Violin Crossing
the Strait", Anastasia appeared as a role of a violinist.
COOPERATION: Anastasia performs with world-famous conductors and appears
as a soloist with the best Russian and international symphony and
chamber orchestras, such as the Tchaikovsky State Academic Great Symphony
Orchestra directed by Vladimir Fedoseev, the Academic Symphony Orchestra
of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic directed by Yuri Temirkanov, the
Japan NHK Symphony Orchestra directed by Vladimir Ashkenasi, the Vienna
Chamber Orchestra directed by Christoph Eberle, and many others.
CD, TV, AND RADIO RECORDINGS: Anastasia has recorded a series of compact
discs that have become bestsellers.

2005 - "Zigeunerweisen ~ Romantic Virtuoso"; album recorded
with the Russian Symphony Orchestra.
2007 - "Anastasia Violin Best" (DVD).
According to information of such
musical editions as "String", "Records Geijutsu",
"Chopin", "Ongaku-no-Tomo", Anastasia's CDs enjoy
great, unfailing popularity among classical music admirers with top
places in ratings.
PRIZES AND AWARDS:
While being at school, Anastasia participated in the Paganini International
Competition in Genoa (Italy) where she became a laureate. The Competition
was followed with her successful tours in Europe and Asia. The next
year brought a new victory to the artist: she became a laureate at
the International Juventus Festival in France. In 1992, she won the
First Prize and all Special Prizes at the International R. Lipizer
Competition in Gorizia (Italy). The real great success came to her
in 1994 when she became a top prizewinner of the 10th International
Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. In 2004, Anastasia was named a
Merited Artist of the Russian Federation.
